I see you do alot of hand manipulation of the dirt. Why not wet the soil and make it a paste? I think it would pack easier in the tire and there wouldn't be any voids. If you want it packed enough to swell the tire then add more mud then lay a sheet of plywood over the tire and stomp on the wood. It should force the mud into the tire. The way you're doing it looks like alot of overkill.

The real secret is to get well meaning college kids to pay you for the "opportunity" to "intern" for you and pound dirt into tires for a week straight.

I like the idea of Earthships, but the people promoting these things exaggerate too much. Earthships will NOT solve the housing crisis because most people live in cities where you cannot have easy access to a south exposure with plenty of land. And that is just the beginning. That said, I like the idea of using the thermal mass around a home to moderate the outside temperatures. I would not use tires as the base of the walls, however.

I really like the idea of earth ships, but without extensive testing I'll never be convinced the tires don't off gas into the home. Very cool idea and I've followed them from the sidelines for years.

Very nice, wish I lived in one but I'm not wealthy enough. Earthships are very expensive to build due to the labor costs. Even if the bottles, tires, and lumber are free, the amount of labor required is a deal killer by itself. Also when you consider that 70% of builders would rather be unemployed and homeless for life than to build something novel and unique, well good luck unless you have the ability to build it yourself.

The Earthship at Karuna is a great success. After seeing it many people have wanted to build one.

These arguments do my head in. I have Jewish heritage myself but am not a Jew according to linage laws and even if I were I would be amongst many living in the world today who do not identify as being anything particular. I have no set religion but believe in ‘god’ for want of another description. I am not religious but that does not mean I don’t have spiritual beliefs. According to the female linage rules my father must be a Jew. Many of us carry mixed DNA so the genetic arguments have become irrelevant to the many who may carry Genes of very mixed race. You cannot tell what I am or anyone else by looking at them so all you can do is presume. So arguments about race are as irrelevant as the Nazi’s arguments about about pure Arians. You can see in fact how the Nazis came up with the idea in a very nasty way knowing full well it was all a lie and politically convenient. That was their crime against humanity but there are others and many more to come from the looks of things. We are all humans. No one is above anyone else. We all know what is right and wrong deep down in our hearts. All we have currently is people casting stones. Whether it is against women, Jews or others seen as somehow other. This is what people get when they want to live like monkeys. They have hierarchies just like humans do. So you get monkeys.

This reminds me of the events that transpired in Acts 17 in Areopagus, Athens, when Paul went there to preach.

Our midset is a perceived and upheld minority amongst people in general, and I'm concerned that it is an even overwhelmingly smaller percentage of Israelies. And for those people, It's uncomfortable and unnerving what I hear from so many native Israelis who are far from the beauty of this mans soul. There is no narrative, in this realm or in God's realm, where an attitude and story is upheld as to be so strong as that of Israelis, strong enough to justify a society that claims its 'awakeness', claims its alignment with divine consciousness and that lives through its triumphs, shall be also considered these things whilst at the same time collectively suppressing its senses to that which makes a human a human and that which it takes to 'be' part of humanity. To choose not to smell of iron of spilt blood on their hands but, rather to choose to relish in the spilling of blood, to invoke the forcible release of souls through murder without a second thought, to quite frankly, not care at all about equal peoples and to go along with the politically driven, racist brainwashed education that was fed to them during adolescence that teaches that Palestinians are animals. To be a Jew, I believe that one must be proud of how far the people have come. Through the centuries of struggle, strength has built and, rightly so! However, unfortunately, collectively, it is now that strength that turns sour, a broad daylight abuse of the power given to them by the divine. Does Israel want to be a democracy or a Theocracy? Does it want to be a 'Puritan' Jewish state or a capitalist state? Does it care for anything outside of Judaism? Does Judaism want to continue to allow itself to be overrun by dictatorial, war-hungry and control-hungry families who are happy to mislead its fellow Jews along a path of falsehood, while they incinerate souls and shed innocent blood for their holy gain? Is this REALLY what they made you think it is to be a proud Israeli? A proud American? A proud Brit? What about that which it takes to be a proud Jew, Christian or Muslim? What happens to the mind of one when the messages from the divine come to them and they actively choose to ignore them? It's a disgrace to humanity to hear people say that Palestine never existed and very inspiring to hear an elderly Jewish man speak of his kind Muslim neighbours before 1948 in Palestine. It's disgraceful for an Orthodox Jew to be called anti-Semitic, because he chose or was enlightened by god to see the diamond of the message amongst the political earthly garbage. Its shameful and a disgrace to life, to spirit, and to gods message itself to ever believe that the military tactics utilised by the IDF are that of Art, artful war, or heroic in any meritorious shape or form. What happened to special tactical units to stop terrorists? cost too much? too much effort? Of course, the Israeli military way, bomb everyone and their children. They are only animals, right? It's never right nor righteous. I believe in Judaism. But Isreal has been formed on many lies and I think that this is why the world is struggling to trust anybody who calls themselves a proud Israeli. I don't, however, believe in greed over life, land over life, long-past history over life, imprisonment of others over humanity, financial immobilisation over others' freedom, lies over truth, black magic over divine magic, enslavement over release, false flag operations over the Art of war, adolescent death over adolescent growth, ignorance of international war laws, human rights laws and arms deals over alignment of the former, information manipulation over truth, corruption over righteousness, planned regressive mindset and actions over progressive mindset and actions, theft of sentient-beings energy for the selfless enrichment of 'our' energy, fear over love. ...I mean the list goes on. Which people are doing this? Is it shame to turn your back on your culture to say, no, In the most holy land of lands I will not weild a weapon and kill innocent people? To say no, this is in direct conflict of gods will? To say no, I will not enstill fear in those destined to be murdered by my hands? What things do military superiors make innocent Israeli's conscripted into military service expect them to do? What weight will our generations of children and grandchildren be carrying through DNA? How is this sustainable? These are questions I ask myself on a daily basis. I have faith in humanity. But I won't remember those who tried to take it away when I pass-over to the higher realm. It shall be left with my physical body here on Earth. Its unfortunate that most of those memories are made up of recorded history of the IDF. As we live in a period of ownership in the holyland, where we once sought freedom from enslavement in the holy land. We live as slave owners, where we once sought to be free. I pray for clarity of mind and peace.
